If your gateway loses its internet connection, an error notification will appear in the Enphase App, showing a Gateway Not Reporting alert.

Why should you reconnect your gateway to the internet

Your gateway needs an internet connection to:

  • Ensure accurate, up-to-date energy monitoring in the Enphase App

  • Receive real-time notifications about new features, system updates, and potential issues

  • Download important updates that keep your Enphase Energy System running efficiently

  • Allow your installer and Enphase Support to troubleshoot issues remotely, reducing downtime and the need for on-site visits

Identify your gateway type

To reconnect your gateway to the internet, start by identifying the type of gateway you have. It is usually installed in one of the following locations:

  • Near your home’s main service panel

  • Near the utility meter
